CEP 801 Psychological Development

Instructor: Julie Moore
In this course we examined how young minds are shaped in and outside a classroom setting, and what kind of role external factors have on the growth and development of children. In one of our final assignments for the course, I applied some of the knowledge gained from our course material and discussions and applied it to the young children who are a part of my life. Their developmental stages were apparent after observing reactions to the tasks at hand.

CEP 818 Creativity in Teaching and Learning

Instructor: Punya Mishra
This course was designed to get students thinking about utilizing their creative juices all the while documenting their work on a personalized website. As the title implies, we were assigned to think creatively about the content and readings, and to demonstrate our ability to think abstractly about a topic. You can find a link to my site here. Using the book Sparks of Genius as an inspiration, a few examples of the work we did include: thinking about our topic from an embodied view; finding patterns; and wrapping it up in a sales pitch for supplementing a curriculum.
